A Progressive Residential Experience

Four years of on-campus living offers daily opportunities for growth and transformation:

  • First-year students: Students spend their first year in traditional residence halls, where they receive support and guidance as they transition to college living.

  • Second-year students: There are a variety of options available in upperclass traditional residence halls and suite-style housing, including options for smaller communities than the first-year residence halls.

  • Third-year students: In addition to the options available to second-year students, students in their third year can choose from apartments or a college-owned house (known as Muhlenberg Independent Living Experience, or MILE).

  • Fourth-year students: Fourth-year students have the widest variety of options and can select from college-owned houses and apartments in the MILE area, suites, and traditional halls, including single rooms.
