The Hìtëkw Project has added plaques to 250 campus trees that include their Indigenous names in an effort to bring Lenape culture to campus.

Lexy Widi ’26, a dance major and RJ Fellow who is of Anishinaabe descent, came up with the idea for the project in early 2024 and has been collaborating with other students on it ever since.
