Research, Scholarship or Creative/Artistic Interests
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending quality time with my husband and our son. We love exploring new places together, and those moments are really special to me. I also find a lot of peace in nature. Long hikes through the forests and bike rides along the old rail trails are my go-to ways to unwind and recharge.
My interest in well-being started over a decade ago when I completed an 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course at Lehigh Valley Health Network. That was a real turning point, and it solidified my belief in the power of mindfulness, not just personally, but also professionally. In today's fast-paced work environments, and especially for leaders, cultivating mindfulness is crucial for navigating stress and preventing burnout. It's this understanding of the profound impact of a mindfulness practice that makes it such an important part of my life.
