Teaching Interests

My focus is teaching in the Business Department. Before starting to teach 15 years ago, I spent more than 25 years in sales, marketing and marketing management positions in industry. I believe this combination allows me to incorporate what happens in the "real world" with what students encounter and learn in the classroom. The ability to see concepts demonstrated with actual examples provides for better understanding by my students. Marketing is the lifeline of any organization. Understanding the role of marketing and its connection to everyone in the organization, regardless of function or department, is critical to its success.

Research, Scholarship or Creative/Artistic Interests

The Business Department is assisting our majors in the development of a professional e-portfolio that will demonstrate to potential employers the skills and the personal growth they have achieved during their academic careers. Each student has the opportunity to provide examples of curricular and co-curricular activities, learning and reflection that will be meaningful as they seek to start their careers in business.
