Dear Members of the Muhlenberg Community,

The Muhlenberg Fund grew each day thanks to the efforts—and the unity—of the entire Muhlenberg community. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends joined together to make College history as they contributed a record $2,162,010! This is an incredible accomplishment, but it wasn’t the only one that donors achieved this year because meanwhile:

Our many generous donors increased total giving to Muhlenberg by eight percent over the previous fund year.
Total giving rose to $8,126,374.
The number of gifts increased to more than 16,000.
Muhlenberg’s Fourth Annual Day of Giving—#MULEMENTUM 2016—established a new, one-day record by attracting 2,415 participants (and surpassing the goal of 2,200).
A total of 716 leadership donors contributed nearly $7.4 million through the Henry Melchior Muhlenberg Society, an increase in both categories from the 2015-2016 Fund Year.

Finally, amid all this exciting end-of-year news, it is worth remembering that the Muhlenberg Match program culminated on June 30 with incredible results. Our Muhlenberg community raised more than $11 million for financial aid and educational enrichment programs. These funds will be matched dollar for dollar to double the impact of those gifts. More than 300 commitments or outright gifts were made as a part of the program from more than 230 donors, and these gifts went to more than 150 endowment funds.

Time and again, the Muhlenberg community has provided the support that enables the College to open doors for current and future generations of students. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends have continually responded with generosity of every kind. This dedication has enabled Muhlenberg to enroll students from the highest echelons of talent in our top-tier liberal arts education. Our donors make possible our reputation as a college that recognizes, honors and supports every student in achieving their greatest individual promise.
