GLOBAL EMERGING MARKET LECTURE AT MUHLENBERG COLLEGE

Vladimir L. Kvint, Ph.D., will lecture on "The Global Emerging Market: Business, Economic and Political Risks," Wednesday, February 13, 8 p.m., in the Miller Forum, Moyer Hall, at Muhlenberg College. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Kvint is professor of management systems and international business in the Graduate School of Business at Fordham University, where he has taught since 1990. Kvint, awarded the Fulbright Scholarship in 2001, is currently economic advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Ukraine and to the King of Bulgaria, Simeon II. He has also served as director of emerging markets at Arthur Andersen LLP, NY, in addition to being a member of the Board of Directors at Mediacom and Deputy Chairmain of Nove Holding Company, the largest holding company in Bulgaria. He also developed and operated communications and media businesses in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet republics for Metromedia International Telecommunications, Inc. (MITI), NY. He is the author of 18 books, and his articles have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and the New York Times.

Kvint received his M.S. degree from the Krasnoyarsk Graduate Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, and a Ph.D. in Managerial Economics from the Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy.
