Muhlenberg College Hillel will present a new computer to the Sixth Street Shelter, Monday, October 7, 3 p.m., at the shelter at 219 N. Sixth Street in Allentown.

In the spring, Muhlenberg's Hillel organization received a grant from Hillel International as part of the AOL Digital Divide program to purchase the computer. The computer will be used as part of the Homework Helpers program with which Muhlenberg students volunteer at the shelter. It will provide resources such as word processing, internet access and research software for children at the shelter.

On October 7, Muhlenberg students will set up the computer and demonstrate software use to families at the shelter. A party for the Homework Helpers group is planned.
