'Berg Professors To Hit National TV Twice In Two Days

Muhlenberg College professors Lawrence Hass and Donna Bergenstock will appear on national television next week.

Hass, an associate professor of philosophy, will be the guest analyst on the Discovery Channel’s “Science of Magic” program, which will air Thursday, February 13, at 10 p.m. The program will be hosted by magician Lance Burton and will re-air at 1 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 15. Hass, who created Muhlenberg’s unique “Theory and Art of Magic” series for the fall semesters of 1999 and 2002, is a magician and expert on phenomenology, the study of experience.

Bergenstock, an assistant professor of business and economics, will appear on ABC’s “20/20” as part of a special segment on Valentine's Day, Friday, February 14, at 10 p.m. An expert on marketing in the diamond industry, Bergenstock teaches a first-year seminar titled “DeBeers and Diamonds: Are They Forever?” at Muhlenberg.
