Muhlenberg College will host a special screening of "Oh Davey...History of the 'Davey and Goliath' Television Series," a documentary produced by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Sunday, October 12, 4 p.m., Miller Forum, Moyer Hall. The film screening and following reception are free and open to the public. The one-hour documentary, produced by the ELCA Department for Communication and available for broadcast on ABC-TV starting Sept. 14, showcases the development of the popular 1960s stop-motion animation program "Davey and Goliath." It will also include interviews with original program creators. Clifton Davis, actor, best known from the television sitcom "Amen," and Mary McDonough, actor, best known for her role as "Erin" on the television show, "The Waltons," are hosts of the documentary. "Davey and Goliath" aired on weekday morning for 20 years. The ELCA has produced DVD and videos of the old episodes, and is working on new episodes and specials.
