‘Berg Professor To Participate In Notre Dame Study

Dr. Hemchand Gossai, associate professor of religion and head of the religion department at Muhlenberg College, has been selected as one of 50 “effective” introductory religion professors nationwide to participate in a year-long study.

Dr. Hemchand Gossai, associate professor of religion and head of the religion department at Muhlenberg College, has been selected as one of 50 “effective” introductory religion professors nationwide to participate in a year-long study.

Funded by the University of Notre Dame’s Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion, the study will result in publications and workshops intended to help faculty effectively teach introductory theology and religion.

Participants were chosen from a variety of colleges and universities, both public and private. The study begins in fall 2004.

A graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, Gossai has a master in divinity from the Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, MN and a doctorate in divinity from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
