Representing Disease will be the focus of the autumn art exhibition hosted by the Martin Art Gallery from September 8, 2004 and continuing through October 31, 2004.

On display will be the work of photographer Charlee Brodsky whose work, “Knowing Stephanie,” documents one woman’s experience with breast cancer.

An opening reception and talk with Brodsky will take place in the Martin Art Gallery in the Baker Center for the Arts on September 8, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Muhlenberg College Center for Ethics as part of Disease: Representation, Research and Rights, a semester-long series of events. Through interactive programming, presentations, and classroom activities, the Center encourages investigation of social practices in the local college community, as American citizens, and across diverse cultures.
