Muhlenberg College Announces Three New Hires

Muhlenberg College has announced new hires in the offices of public relations, alumni relations and the registrar.

Muhlenberg College has announced new hires in the offices of public relations, alumni relations and the registrar.

Jillian Lovejoy has been named director of college communications. A 2000 graduate of Muhlenberg College with a bachelor's degree in English, she has been the communications specialist and volunteer coordinator for Family Service, a Mount Holly, N.J.-based social service agency, since October 2002. Previously, she was a publicity assistant at Warner Books in New York City. As director of college communications, Lovejoy will be responsible for local media relations and on-campus publicity efforts, and will serve as editor of the Muhlenberg alumni magazine and yearbook advisor. Lovejoy will begin her duties July 19.

Traci Luckenbill-Falco has been named assistant director of alumni relations. Luckenbill-Falco is a 1992 graduate of Muhlenberg College, where she majored in psychology and earned teaching certification in elementary education. She joins the Muhlenberg staff from St. Joseph the Worker School in Orefield. She previously has worked as a sales assistant at the Coplay Plaza - A Wyndham Hotel in Boston, and as an office assistant for James Falco, DMD, in Allentown. As a student, Luckenbill-Falco was president of the Muhlenberg Activities Council. As assistant director of alumni relations, she will coordinate on-campus and regional alumni events, and will plan and implement Homecoming and Reunion programs. Luckenbill-Falco began her duties June 29.

Deborah Tamte-Horan has been named registrar. She holds a bachelor's degree in history from North Park University (Chicago) and is a master's degree candidate at St. Cloud University (Minn.), where she has served as the director of registration for the past five years. Previously, she was the associate registrar at Wheaton College. Her experience includes the implementation of two new student records systems as well as leadership in planning and development for registrar processes in the University of Minnesota system. At Muhlenberg, she will oversee course registration, maintain student academic records and develop the master course schedule. Tamte-Horan will begin her duties August 2.
