Muhlenberg College and Allentown Art Museum have forged a partnership whereby museum officials will receive access to the College's library facilities, and Muhlenberg's students and faculty will receive museum privileges. Museum director David Brigham and Muhlenberg President Randy Helm signed the agreement Monday, June 7, in Helm's office on campus.

The mutually beneficial agreement entitles the museum's five professional staff members to Trexler Library cards, granting them "faculty" privileges including access to electronic databases and electronic journals, assistance from the College's information technology help desk, interlibrary loan access and borrowing privileges for the media and circulating collections. In return, the museum will provide unlimited free access to Muhlenberg students with identification, access to collections on view for independent studies in art history or studio classes, and consultation between Allentown Art Museum staff and Muhlenberg faculty to identify and employ parts of the collection in coursework.
