Muhlenberg Student Honored For Services To Big Brothers Big Sisters

Alison Pofsky, a Muhlenberg College senior majoring in political science with a minor in Spanish, has been honored as the Lehigh Valley College Big Sister of the Year.

Alison Pofsky, a Muhlenberg College senior majoring in political science with a minor in Spanish, has been honored as the Lehigh Valley College Big Sister of the Year. The award was presented to Pofsky by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley at its 2004 appreciation dinner, held April 28 at the Holiday Inn, Bethlehem. Over 350 Big Brothers and Big Sisters, were honored at the event.

Pofsky is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pofsky of New City, N.Y.

A United Way agency, Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children between the ages of seven and 16 in Lehigh and Northampton counties. During the past year, more than 600 youngsters have been supported through group mentoring activities and one-to-one relationships that help them meet challenges in their everyday lives.
