Muhlenberg To Host Black-Tie Evening For Turning Point

Muhlenberg College will host "An Evening for Turning Point," a black-tie optional fundraising and awareness-promoting evening, Saturday, March 27, 7-9 p.m., Miller Forum, Moyer Hall. The evening will include entertainment, speakers and a silent art auction, and benefits Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, Inc. Advance tickets are $35, available through March 19, through Alison Norton, development coordinator, Turning Point, 610-797-0530 x225. Tickets also will be available at the door.

The silent art auction will feature work by local artists Denise McGlynn, Ann Cross and Muhlenberg art professor Joseph Elliott. Mayor Roy Afflerbach and Pam Pillsbury, Turning Point's community education director, will speak. Muhlenberg student a cappella groups The Girls Next Door, AcaFellas and Dynamics will perform, as will the Soul Sound Steppers.

Members of Students Advocating Gender Equality (SAGE) of Muhlenberg College are proud to support Turning Point, the Lehigh Valley's only emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence.
