Muhlenberg Trustees Approve Faculty Promotions

On January 10, the Muhlenberg College Board of Trustees approved the following faculty promotion and tenure awards:


Christopher Borick, Ph.D., has been awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of political science. Borick, who joined the Muhlenberg faculty in 2000, earned his bachelor's degree at Penn State University, his master 's degree at East Stroudsburg University and his doctorate at SUNY-Binghamton. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Borick is director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion.


Francesca Coppa, Ph.D., has been awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of English. Coppa, who joined the Muhlenberg faculty in 1998, earned her bachelor's degree at Columbia University. She earned her master of arts, master of philosophy and doctorate at New York University.


Christine Ingersoll, Ph.D., has been awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of chemistry. Ingersoll joined the Muhlenberg faculty in 1998 and holds a bachelor's degree from SUNY-Oswego and a doctorate from SUNY-Buffalo.


Lisa Perfetti, Ph.D., has been awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of French. Perfetti, who joined the Muhlenberg faculty in 1996, earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan and her master's degree and doctorate at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She is acting director of the Muhlenberg College Center for Ethics.


Judith Ridner, Ph.D., has been awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of history. Ridner joined the Muhlenberg faculty in 1998; she earned her bachelor's degree at Dickinson College and her master 's degree and doctorate at the College of William and Mary.


Elyn Rykken, Ph.D., has been awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of mathematics. Rykken, who joined the Muhlenberg faculty in 1999, earned her bachelor's degree at St. Olaf College and her master's degree and doctorate at Northwestern University.
