O.A.R., the critically acclaimed reggae and ska-infused rock band with an impressive grass-roots following, will perform at Muhlenberg College on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

Beginning September 10, general seating tickets are $20, available through www.muhlenberg.tickets.musictoday.com or 800-594-TIXX (8499).

O.A.R., short for Of A Revolution, is a genre-transcending five-piece band that formed in 1996 in the suburbs of D.C. while attending high school together. Later, the quintet attended Ohio State University while continuing to solidify the band’s vision.

After four independent releases, O.A.R. recently made the transition to a major label with their Lava/Everfine Records debut In Between Now and Then and 34th and 8th, a live album. The New York Post called In Between Now and Then “a jammin’ album that flirts with melodic, reggae-laced rock that oils your dancing bone” in a four-star review (5/27/03).

O.A.R. has recently toured with the Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Howie Day and Matt Nathanson.

In recent years, Muhlenberg’s Memorial Hall has hosted other standout musical acts, including Blues Traveler, Counting Crows, Live, Smashmouth and Jason Mraz.
