Muhlenberg College's Students Advocating Gender Equality (SAGE) have organized the following events in honor of Women's Week, March 27-April 3:

  • Saturday, March 27 – An Evening for Turning Point , 7 p.m., Miller Forum, Moyer Hall
    A black-tie optional evening to benefit Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, which provides anti-domestic violence education and support for victims. Tickets at the door are $35. Speakers include Mayor Roy Afflerbach, with performances by Muhlenberg student a cappella groups The Girls Next Door, AcaFellas and Dynamics as well as the Soul Sound Steppers. A silent art auction will feature work by local artists Denise McGlynn, Ann Cross and Muhlenberg art professor Joseph Elliott.
  • Monday, March 29 – Lilith Fair, 7-10 p.m., Red Door, Seegers Union
    Performances by and about women. Free and open to the public.
  • Tuesday, March 30 – Third Annual Danielle Dionne Guerin Lecture in Women's Studies, 7:30 p.m., Miller Forum, Moyer Hall
    Author and business consultant Sally Helgesen will speak on “Women's Leadership in the New Economy. Free and open to the public.
  • Wednesday, March 31 – Renaissance Group, 7 p.m., Seegers 108-109
    A discussion of experiences and issues facing transgender people. Free and open to the public.
  • Thursday, April 1 – Take Back the Night, 7 p.m., Egner Chapel
    March at 7 p.m. and speak out at 8 p.m. Free and open to the public.
  • Friday, April 2 – Iron Jawed Angels, 6 p.m., Lithgow Science Auditorium
  • Saturday, April 3 – LVAIC Undergraduate Women's Studies Conference, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Baker Center for the Arts
