‘Berg College Democrats Host Discussion On Iraq Exit Strategies

On Wednesday, March 19, the Muhlenberg College Democrats will host a panel discussion entitled “Exit Strategy: 5 Years of War.”

The event will take place in Miller Forum, Moyer Hall at 7p.m.  This event is free and open to the public.

Panelists include speakers David Halperin, Michael Hoffman, and Brian Mello.

Halperin is currently the senior vice president for the Center for American Progress. He served as a speechwriter to President Bill Clinton and former presidential hopeful Howard Dean.

Hoffman is the co-founder of Iraq Veterans Against the War and served in the original invasion into Iraq.

Mello is an assistant professor of political science at Muhlenberg College.

The forum will take place on the fifth anniversary of the U.S. invasion into Iraq and will be used to debate various exit strategies for leaving Iraq.
