Muhlenberg College Celebrates 10 Years Of Magic

In March, Muhlenberg College will celebrate ten years of magic with the return of The Theory and Art of Magic.

 Friday, February 29, 2008 01:59 PM

Muhlenberg will continue the tradition of its nationally recognized, award winning program with special guests and events to mark its tenth anniversary.

Muhlenberg College’s own Dr. Lawrence Hass, philosopher, magician and professor of philosophy, created The Theory and Art of Magic, which is the first on-going academic symposium of magical arts. The series uses appearances from world-class magicians and theorists to perform, teach and lecture about magic as a performing art and as an important human experience. In addition to astonishing live performances, magicians will appear in workshops and classrooms to present the scholarly and philosophical side of magic.

The Theory and Art of Magic has always featured some of the finest performers and teachers of magic in the world, and Muhlenberg College looks to continue that tradition. This spring, featured guests will include Eugene Burger, Max Maven, William Kalush, and Dr. Hass.

Tickets to the events are available through Muhlenberg’s box office at 484-664-3333, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information on the program, visit:
