'Berg Hosts Program "Entrepreneurship in the Lehigh Valley"

The Entrepreneurial Studies program at Muhlenberg College will host "Entrepreneurship in the Lehigh Valley" on November 5 at 6 p.m., Miller Forum, Moyer Hall.

Tony Salvaggio, President and C.E.O. of Computer Aid (CAI), will deliver the keynote address, “My Journey to Entrepreneurship,” and three young business owners will speak on a panel about entrepreneurship.

CAI is an international information technology firm of over 2,500 employees that provides services to Fortune 1000 organizations and government agencies in the USA, UK, Australia, Europe and Asia.

Salvaggio received Ernst and Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2003 and the distinguished citizen award from the Boy Scouts of America, Minsi Trail Council, in 2007.  He is on the board of the Lehigh Valley United Way, the City of Allentown C.E.O. Education 2010, Easter Seals, Second Mile and Pennsylvania State University IST College Advisory Board.

Speaking on the Young Entrepreneurship Panel are Mike McCreary (Lehigh Valley Grand Prix), Stephanie Morfii (STEPin4Mor) and Andy Po (Homebase Skate Shop).

Launched in the early 1990s by Dr. Paul Frary, the Entrepreneurial Studies program at Muhlenberg College was one of the first of its kind established at a liberal arts college.  Today, the program maintains its distinction through its unique combination of academics and incorporation of hands-on work with local entrepreneurs in the surrounding community.
