Muhlenberg Hosts Annual Social Justice Conference

The Sixth Annual LVAIC Social Research for Social Justice Conference (SRSJ) will be held at Muhlenberg College on April 2-3, 2009.

The plenary event is on April 2, 2009, Moyer Hall, Miller Forum, 7 p.m. The panel discussion, "Gender Justice in the Lehigh Valley," features the following local professionals: Liz Bradbury (PA Diversity Network and Human Rights Commission in Allentown); Pam Russell (Executive Director of Turning Point); and Jennifer Boulanger (Executive Director of the Allentown Women's Center). 

The conference is on April 3, 2009, Moyer Hall, Miller Forum, 8:30 a.m. – 3.p.m.  It is a public event, and there is no registration fee to attend.    

The SRSJ Conference provides a forum for students within the Lehigh Valley to share their innovative research in the area of social justice with other students, faculty, and community members. Students are able to submit their research projects in a variety of forms, including research papers, a panel discussion, poster session, media presentation (e.g., digital storytelling), and/or dramatic/theatrical performance.
