Ramy Sharp '90, CEO and founder of the sophisticated womenswear brand Ramy Brook, credits Muhlenberg College with helping her develop social and leadership skills that she's used to create her own fashion company from the ground up.

Muhlenberg was one of Sharp's first chances to meet new people outside of her small hometown and her time at the College laid the groundwork for a lifetime of taking on new challenges.

In 2010, she started her fashion line that, within six months of creation, journeyed from trunk shows to Bergdorf Goodman — the New York City-based luxury department store. Ramy Brook is now sold in more than 250 retailers around the country, in addition to its flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York.

"My education really helped me grow socially and just grow to navigate my personality and other people's personalities in the world," Sharp says. "When you're an entrepreneur and you're leading people, everything starts at the top."
