In the April 2023 issue of Dance Magazine, Tommy Gedrich ’21 explained why he chose the College over a conservatory:

The opportunity to shape his own course of study attracted Tommy Gedrich to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. At Muhlenberg, Gedrich double-majored in theatre (with an acting concentration) and dance (with concentrations in performance and choreography); Gedrich later added courses in women’s & gender studies. “I did look at going the conservatory route,” they say, “but in the end, I wanted to focus on each discipline without having to sacrifice one or the other.”

At Muhlenberg, Gedrich performed in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sunday in the Park with George, Brigadoon and Into the Woods.
