Playwright and performer Becca Schneider ’06 will perform her critically acclaimed solo show Trich in the Lehigh Valley, May 16-18. The show will run at Civic Theatre of Allentown's Theatre514. Co-created alongside directors and fellow Muhlenberg alumni Jenn Haltman ‘04 and Casey Pfeifer ‘07, Trich shines a light on one of the most common disorders most people have never heard of: trichotillomania.

"This is something I’ve wanted to do since I was seventeen," Schneider says. "I know how much it would have meant to me as a teenager to see someone talking about this in a theatrical setting, or any setting for that matter."

Trich was the top-selling show at the 2021 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City, winning both the Best Actress and Audience Choice Awards, and last year it was named one of the top 15 New Jersey productions of 2023 by NJArts following its sold-out run at Luna Stage.

"We’re very excited to be back in the neighborhood," Schneider says. "[Civic Artistic Director] William Sanders and the team at Civic have welcomed us with open arms, and we hope to share the play with as many Muhlenbergers as we can."
