Classes may not be in session, but Muhlenberg students are still hard at work — at internships and jobs, in the lab and in the field, producing creative works and engaging with their communities. Summer break is an opportunity for students to explore future pathways, unanswered questions, and avenues for impact. Discover what our students are up to this summer here.

Natalia Agnolet ’27

Hometown: Long Valley, New Jersey
Major: Accounting

Why were you interested in this internship with Keller Williams Real Estate in the Outer Banks?
Growing up, my family owned a small business, so I was fortunate to have a unique upbringing with a different perspective than my peers. Helping my parents out in their store sparked my interest in business at a young age, and when I came to Muhlenberg, I wanted to learn as much as possible about the different routes I could pursue. I love accounting and the statistical side of business but I equally love the marketing side and wanted to explore real estate. I also loved the idea of running my own business so being a real estate agent has been appealing for quite some time. While the classroom can prepare you practically, there’s nothing like real world experience and learning from a professional. I wanted to be fully submerged into the day-to-day life of an agent along the Outer Banks.

What is a typical day like for you?
My typical work day consists of a combination of working in the office and out in the field. Typically, I spend a few hours at the office running stats, editing social media content, and creating reports and budgets followed by some time out of the office where I drive across the island to give home tours, record content, assist with clients, and host open houses.

How have you been able to make an impact at your internship?
Through this internship I’ve been able to provide crucial assistance to the agent I’m shadowing while also assisting in helping real clients find, negotiate, and buy their dream home in the Outer Banks.

“I’ve always been worried about picking the ‘wrong’ career for me. I didnt know if I could handle a desk job and the repetitiveness. This internship introduced a dynamic work day, and through this experience, I’ve realized that a balance of desk work and field work keeps me motivated and driven.”

How is this experience shaping your understanding of what you want to do in the future?
I’ve always been worried about picking the “wrong” career for me. I didn't know if I could handle a desk job and the repetitiveness. This internship introduced a dynamic work day, and through this experience, I’ve realized that a balance of desk work and field work keeps me motivated and driven. It’s been truly an incredible experience.
