Executive Director

Sue McNeilly (she/her) joined the Muhlenberg College Career Center in September 2024 as the Executive Director. Bringing two decades of experience in higher education, most recently serving as the Director of Career Development at NYU’s School of Professional Studies, Sue leads the overall strategy and management for the Center providing career education and industry connections for Muhlenberg students and alumni.
Sue specializes in crafting data-driven strategies that elevate presence and drive engagement.She is deeply invested in ally and advocacy work for communities that have been historically underrepresented and infuses that commitment into her work for career development, specifically working with students on the intersection of identity in the job search and workplace. She is collaborative and enjoys mentoring emerging talent, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of exploration. Her commitment to continuous learning keeps Sue at the forefront of industry trends, enabling her to adapt strategies to meet the ever-changing needs of the workforce. She has presented at local, regional and national conferences on a variety of topics and regularly volunteers her time for professional organizations.
Sue earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Hofstra University. Originally from Philadelphia, Sue recently returned to Pennsylvania after a 23 year hiatus in New York. When she’s not leading the Muhlenberg College Career Center team, she is likely spending time with her family, watching her favorite sports teams - the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Yankees - or enjoying the fresh air of the Pocono Mountains.
