Muhlenberg's newest academic building, The Fahy Commons for Public Engagement and Innovation, is among the most ambitious sustainable building projects of its kind and provides 20,000 square feet of programming, art studio and academic space.

Rachelle Cinque ’63 made a gift to support the functional landscaping outside Muhlenberg’s newest building.
The building was made possible thanks to a gift from Gerald P. Fahy ’79 and Cathleen A. Fahy, the largest personal gift in Muhlenberg College history.
A key campaign priority, The Fahy Commons demonstrates the innovative thinking that is driving Muhlenberg College into the future. This three-story building serves as a model of sustainability and facilitates connections among faculty, staff, students and the community.
The Fahy Commons is a model for sustainable building practices. In addition to the Living Building Challenge Core Green Building Certification (one of the first 20 projects in the world to pursue the ranking), the Fahy Commons is on track to apply for LEED Gold or Platinum status.
