For Sidney Caruth '23, there are few places on campus as meditative and beloved as the Martin Art Gallery

So when Caruth, a theatre major, was searching for a work study, the opportunity to become a gallery assistant could not have been more perfect.

"As a kid growing up, my mom has always had me immersed in all of the arts and so I've spent a lot of time in museums and art galleries and speaking with artists on their work," Caruth says. "And I have a great appreciation for the fine arts and the peace that an environment like this brings."

Finding ways to connect with the art she helped display and ensuring that visitors could do the same are just some of the many fulfilling aspects Caruth discovered in her work.
