Allyn-Jane Marks is a professional educator with a lifelong interest in creative teaching that stimulates intellectual curiosity. Having retired in 2011 from the Allentown School District, Marks served in several roles as a Grade 4 teacher at Ritter Elementary School from 1987 to 2008 and as a gifted support teacher for Grades K-5 at Central, Cleveland, McKinley and Union Terrace Elementary Schools from 2008 to 2011.  She was honored for her efforts by the Allentown Education Association as an Outstanding Teacher of the Year and as a Pennsylvania Department of Education Keystone Technology Integrator.  Marks holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bucknell University; a Master of Science in Education from Wilkes University and a Teacher Leadership Certification from Lehigh University/Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit.  An avid advocate for public education and professional development, Marks currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Allentown School District Foundation, co-chairs the ASDF Teacher Innovation Grant Committee and hosts “High Marks-The Podcast for Educational Excellence” dedicated to raising awareness, promoting positivity and celebrating student success throughout diverse learning communities in and around the Lehigh Valley.
