We offer 3 different kinds of visiting writers series:
The Living Writers series occurs once every 3 years and is connected to our Living Writers class.
Writers-at-Muhlenberg Reading series occurs during semesters when we do not teach Living Writers. Established writers visit our campus for 1-3 days, attend classes, offer workshops on writing craft and give a reading. Recent writers have included Robin Wright, Mitchell S. Jackson and Richard Rodriguez.
Emerging Writers Conference occurs most Spring semesters. We invite 3 emerging writers to campus for 4 days. These writers attend classes, offer workshops, individual conferences with our writing students, and participate in both a panel discussion on writing craft and give a reading of their work. Recent writers have included Mitchell S. Jackson, Nadia Owusu and Tessa Fontaine.
