It is with great pride that I share the annual Philanthropy Report from the Office of Advancement. In this year of changing tides and personal hardship, members of the Muhlenberg community stood firmly behind our students with remarkable dedication.

I hope that you will take a moment to learn more about the impressive students, alumni and friends featured here, and note everyone who contributed to the College during fund year July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020 in the lists on the right.

Confidence in Muhlenberg hit an all-time high with contributions to The Muhlenberg Fund reaching $2,235,017 in unrestricted support toward a cash giving total for the year of $6,356,605. And, when the pandemic required leadership to act swiftly to ensure the safety of all students, faculty and staff, contributions to the Emergency Grant Fund enabled over 165 students to get home quickly and to continue their studies remotely.

When the Muhlenberg Extended Learning (MXL) program was conceived in May as a way to keep incoming and graduate students engaged while in quarantine over the summer, this community responded immediately with over $100,000 in support.

Other inspiring stories like Dat Le’s speech during February’s Scholarship Luncheon, Ben Miles’ experience as the first Weiss Fellow and Madeleine Lesser Novack’s estate plan can be found here. And be sure to meet the accomplished alumni nominated for an achievement award in March and honored during An Evening of Distinction in October.

Successful signature events like #MULEmentumTHAW and Mule Madness brought thousands together across the globe in solidarity, and with pride for alma mater. But most impressive is the engine behind all of this success - the volunteers who contributed nearly 20,000 hours to keep each other and our students connected and engaged.

On behalf of every member of this community who benefits from your generosity, I thank you and I wish for you the very best.
