Muhlenberg College recognized student organizations and College athletic teams (herein referred to as “student groups”) may sponsor third-party vendors as a form of fundraising for their group, as permitted under this Vendor Policy.

Vendor Solicitations: All Vendors, or third party solicitations, must be sponsored by a College recognized student group. Vendors should be directed to the Office of Student Life & Campus Events website to obtain and complete a Vendor Agreement. A Vendor must complete the Vendor Agreement fourteen business days prior to coming onto campus for solicitation.

Vendor Solicitation Fees: Vendors will be assessed a $20 table/(or table space) administrative fee per day by the College, payable upon the Vendor’s arrival to campus.

Vendor Solicitation Commission: Additionally, 20% of Vendor’s gross sales will go to the sponsoring student organization. These fees and commissions are to be paid prior to the vendor leaving campus on the day of the sale. Student groups are responsible for meeting the vendor and collecting the 20% commission at the end of their scheduled time.

Vendor Locations: Vendors are permitted to sell/solicit only at the Seegers Union and Parent’s Plaza Marketing Tables. Exceptions can be made through the Office of Student Life and Campus Events. The sponsoring student group is responsible for reserving the location in 25Live and a representative from the student organization must be present with the vendor at all times. Vendors are required to stand behind their reserved table while soliciting and may not approach individual students and community members. Those soliciting must wait for community members to approach them, as they may not approach individuals on campus to request their input, signatures, or to consider their information.

Vendors may not:

  • Endorse, criticize or advocate for or against a political candidate. Please see the Partisan Political Activity Policies for more information.
  • Promote or condone behavior that violates College policies and/or values, or local, state or federal law.
  • Include content that is objectively offensive.
  • Encourage/promote the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages to underage persons, illegal drugs, tobacco or gambling.

The College reserves the right to remove any signage or materials that are in misalignment with College values. The College reserves the right to ask a vendor to leave campus at any time for violating any College policy.
