MILE Lottery Info for 2020-2021

MILE applications now have a two step process, including both an individual application and a group application. In order to select MILE housing, students must complete BOTH the Individual and Group Application.

Individual MILE Applications are now closed. Students who did not submit an Individual MILE Application will not be eligible to participate in MILE lottery.

  • Individuals receive conditional approval/denial Monday, February 24, 2020.
  • Conditional approval will include students' MILE group lottery confirmation code.
  • Students with a diagnosed medical condition which may significantly impact residential living may submit a Special Housing Request through the Office of Disability Services. Here is the link to the process, please read the application and components carefully and note the deadlines.

MILE Group Applications- Group Applications will only be sent to students with an eligible individual application.

  • One group application is submitted with each eligible member's confirmation code.
  • Students studying abroad Fall 2020 may not submit a MILE Group Application. They will be housed according to the process for students studying abroad Fall 2020.
  • MILE Lottery #s are released via Muhlenberg Email March 27, 2020. All group members receive the same number.
  • MILE Lottery is Thursday, April, 2, 2020 in the Seegers Event Space
  • Students who are not able to attend MILE Lottery must designate a proxy to select for them.

General Housing Lottery

General Lottery is:

  • Tuesday, April 21, 2020 for Class of 2021 and Class of 2022 in Memorial Hall LSC
  • Thursday, April 23, 2020 for Class of 2023in Moyer Miller Forum

General Lottery - Students with a diagnosed medical condition which may significantly impact residential living may submit a Special Housing Request through the Office of Disability Services. Here is the link to the process, please read the application and components carefully and note the deadlines.

Students who are not able to attend General Lottery must designate a proxy to select for them.

Fraternity/Sorority Housing Information

  • Chapters are responsible for filling their house at 90 percent occupancy.
  • Rosters for the 2020-2021 Academic Year are due Monday, February 10, 2020.
  • Rosters are submitted to Housing & Residence Life by chapter house manager via Google form on this website.
  • The form will be available by Monday, January 13, 2020.
  • Students submitted on a roster for Fraternity/Sorority Housing are not eligible to submit a group application for MILE. They will not be approved for Off Campus Housing, MILE Housing, Group Interest Housing, or receive a general lottery number.
  • If a house manager fails to submit a valid chapter roster by Monday, February 10, 2020, applications submitted by individual members of the chapter for Off Campus Housing, MILE Housing, Group Interest Housing will not be processed until a complete and valid chapter roster is submitted.
  • Students with a diagnosed medical condition which may significantly impact residential living may submit a Special Housing Request through the Office of Disability Services. Unless an accommodation cannot be met through Fraternity and Sorority Housing, the accommodation will be made within the chapter house. Study Abroad

Studying Abroad (or in DC or NYC) Spring 2020?

Housing applications will be posted on the Housing & Residence Life website. For any application process, you can submit the form while logged into your Muhlenberg Google account. Please review the deadlines for each process to ensure that you do not miss any opportunities.

While studying abroad you are responsible for all housing application deadlines.

Studying Abroad (or in DC or NYC) Fall 2020?

Off Campus Housing: For students planning to study abroad in Fall 2020 want to live off campus Spring 2021, you still must apply during the 2020-2021 application period. There is not a separate approval for the spring semester.

Students with a diagnosed medical condition which may significantly impact residential living may submit a Special Housing Request through the Office of Disability Services. There is not a separate application process during the fall semester, so students studying abroad must complete the process using the established deadlines. Here is the link to the process, please read the application and components carefully and note the deadlines.

For all other housing processes and assignments, you will receive a housing preference form September 1, 2020. You can rank your housing preferences on that form to request your housing for the Spring 2021 semester.

Studying Abroad (or in DC or NYC) Spring 2021?

Select housing using the deadlines for any of the 2020-2021 housing processes that you are eligible for.

If you are moving out at the end of the Fall 2020 semester and will have roommates remaining in your room/suite/apartment, we will work with them to fill the space in the room.

If you and all of your roommates are moving out, we will work with students returning to campus for Spring 2021 based on our established priorities for Spring selection.

Group Interest Housing

  • Applications are now closed.
  • Student group leader must provide faculty staff advisor with the Group Interest Advisor Form 2020-2021 and ensure that it is either emailed to housing@muhlenberg.edu or turned into HRL in Prosser Hall by Friday, January 24, 2020.
  • The application is submitted by the group leader. The group leader must plan to live in the Group Interest Housing for the entirety of the 2020-2021 academic year.
  • Approvals are sent to group leader by February 20, 2020.
  • Group Interest agreement form and final roster are due February 27, 2020.
