Bestselling Author Mohsin Hamid to Speak at Muhlenberg College April 11

The final 2023 Center for Ethics event, Hamid’s campus visit includes a lecture and Q&A as well as a classroom visit.

Award-winning British Pakistani novelist Mohsin Hamid will discuss his 2017 bestselling book Exit West at Muhlenberg College at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, in Miller Forum, Moyer Hall.

The event is free and open to the public.

Hamid’s other novels include Moth Smoke, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia and The Last White Man as well as a book of essays, Discontent and Its Civilizations. His writing has been translated into over 40 languages, featured on bestseller lists and adapted for the cinema.

This year’s Center for Ethics event series, "Speculative Futures," featured a number of high-profile speakers and a film series. 

While on campus, Hamid will also meet with creative writing students to discuss writing and publishing through the College's Writers-at-Muhlenberg program, which is co-sponsoring his visit.
