The skilled and adventurous aviatrix Harriet Quimby was the first American woman to earn a pilot’s license. This swift, vibrant historical drama explores Quimby’s life and legacy, focusing on her journey from journalist to aviator. Becoming the hero of her own story, Quimby inspires young people to be brave and courageous in the face of adversity.

The 12:45 performance will be open to both student groups and the public.

Pre- and Post-Show Engagements:

Friday matinees: Stay after the show for a 15-minute educational engagement workshop that explores themes of the play and storytelling devices.

Friday evening: Stay after the show for a 20-minute panel discussion with the director/playwright, design and dramaturgy team, and members of the cast about the development of this new work!

Saturday morning:

Before the show, there will be exploration stations set up in the lobby, starting at 10:30 am. Come early to explore some of the themes/ideas that will be presented in the show. 

After the show, there will be a 10-15 minute educational engagement workshop that will explore themes of the play and storytelling devices.
