Aliya is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her B.A. in African American Studies from Temple University and her Master of Social Work from Maywood University. Aliya utilizes a relational cultural approach with a focus on exploring and defining the structural dynamics of friendships, familial relationships and romantic relationships. Aliya is passionate about encouraging healthy relational experiences while encouraging students to embrace their authentic self. Aliya is a certified yoga instructor who has worked in higher education for over ten years. She believes that she provides a neutral space for students to fully process thoughts, feelings and ideas associated with intimacy and college-age developments.
